Description
Aroha ki te Tangata is a day program that is recovery focused, and offers a wide range of programmes and activities that build on and support opportunities for Service Users in Mental Health.
Our programs are responsive and flexible enough to empower Service Users to meet their individual and collective needs. Service users are able to build on and develop relationships, and are encouraged to build links back into their community.
Aroha ki te Tangata works alongside Service Users who want to make changes for a more satisfying lifestyle. The program facilitates the development of functional living skills, building on and developing interpersonal skills, independent living skills, leisure skills and pre-vocational/vocational skills.
Aroha Ki Te Tangata implements Māori Models of Recovery into our systems and practices:
- Te Reo Māori
- Powhiri/poroporoaki
- Whakawhanaungatanga
