Provides a residential and community support/treatment service for people who are experiencing significant harm as a result of their alcohol and or other drug use.
We are part of The Salvation Army, so can draw on many of the services provided by our colleagues such as budgeting advice, food banks, etc. See the Salvation Army website for more information.
Staff are a mix of health and allied health professionals experienced in the field of alcohol and drug harm treatment. This includes Peer Support Workers who have experienced substance use harm and are now living a life of recovery and modelling the hope of this possibility.
No fees apply to groups accessed in the community.
In terms of the Residential programme in Christchurch, the cost of treatment is funded through the redirection of Ministry of Social Development payments to cover costs. If not on a Benefit a fee for residential treatment applies.
People who are not New Zealand citizens can enquire about payment options.
