Referral Process
Services are available to all age groups Māori and non-Māori, throughout Taranaki.
Self-referrals or referrals from other health professionals are welcome.

Description
This service provides alcohol and drug counselling for adults 18+. It is a community outpatient based service provided by trained practitioners who work from our Hāwera, New Plymouth and Waitara offices. Services include assessment, counselling and treatment, brief intervention, relapse prevention, referral to residential treatment and AOD education. Peer supporters with lived experience around alcohol and drug addiction are also available through the Mātanga Tautoko ā-Aropā service.
