Tuwharetoa Ki Kaweru Hauora is an Iwi and Community based Kaupapa Māori Health Provider delivering a range of services to the people of Kawerau and surrounding districts.
TKKH aims to provide quality health, social and education services that reflect Te Taha Wairua, Te Taha Hinengaro, Te Taha Tinana and Te Taha Whānau.

Youth and Adult AOD services provide strategies to prevent and intervene with potential substance abuse issues, reducing harm caused by alcohol and drug use with the support of brief interventions for relapse and follow-up. Our staff can make referrals into residential treatment if required.

Access to these service can be made any source including Self-Referral, Mental Health Services, Whānau/Caregivers, GP’s/Primary Practitioners, Inpatient Services.

We deliver services within Kawerau and Murupara and work closely with Voyages ICAMHS.

Counselling is helpful for anxiety; stress; low mood/depression; abuse (either physical, psychological, emotional or sexual); grief and loss; trauma; anger; having suicidal thoughts, or if you want someone to confide in rather than whānau or friends.
