Description

We have trained counsellors to help you through whatever problems you’re facing, such as loneliness, stress, anxiety, depression, relationships and sexuality.

Crisis can be big, small, short term or long term.  It can take on many forms such as:

  • not coping with study and work load
  • injuries or illness
  • financial pressures
  • break down in relationships
  • loss or changes with friends and whānau.

Counselling available at Waikato University is brief intervention, rather than long term therapy. If you require more than the standard five sessions, please discuss this with your counsellor who may refer you to another community counselling service off campus to ensure you receive beneficial service required.
