Atareira’s main office is located in Porirua, with satellite offices in Wellington City and Lower Hutt.  Our mobile workers cover all areas throughout the Wellington catchment area.   More

Family Whānau Support Service

When a family member is mentally unwell or is coping with addiction issues, it can be confusing and stressful for the rest of the family / whānau. Our family and whānau services help families enhance their wellbeing by building on their resilience, understanding and affirming their experience of supporting someone with mental health and/or addiction concerns. Support for children, Māori and Pasifika whānau available.

Referral Process

Self referrals are accepted.  With the person's consent, you can make a referral for someone else.  There is no referral form to fill out, simply contact us with the details and we will take it from there.

If you live outside the Greater Wellington Region we can connect you with one of the Supporting Families branches in your region.
