Staff

Child and Adolescent Mental Health Service is an interdisciplinary service with clinical social workers, clinical psychologists, mental health nurses, a paediatrician, occupational therapists and psychiatrists who provide care for children, youth and their families.

Christmas/New Year:  we have a duty/crisis service only (no routine appointments).

CAMHS provides outpatient and some community mental health assessments, consultation, diagnosis and evidence-based treatment for pre-schoolers, children/tamariki & adolescents/rangatahi and their families/whānau who are experiencing serious mental health difficulties. Following assessments, Child, Adolescent and Family negotiate with families and whānau what therapy and other supports may look like. CAMHS are a family based service who provide family therapy as well as offering individual therapy.

Eating Disorder Services

Specialty Eating Disorder care is delivered through Child, Adolescent and Family for clients under 18 years. Following assessment, clients are assigned a keyworker, with psychiatry, medical, dietitian and psychology input being individualised to their treatment plan. MidCentral has the ability to uterlise the CREEDS eating disorder residential facility in Johnsonville for 16 years and older.
