Description

The Crisis Resolution Service provides support and intervention for whaiora experiencing mental health distress across the Manawatu rohe, offering:

  1. Assessment: Evaluating the individual's mental health needs and level of crisis.
  2. Support: Offering emotional support to help individuals in their recovery.
  3. Intervention: Developing safety plans, and identifying coping strategies.
  4. Referral: Connecting individuals to services and resources to support their recovery

Hours

Crisis Resolution Services operate 24 hours per day. During business hours Unplanned Care Services operate from localities to provide crisis assessments and advice.

Referral Process

Existing mental health & addiction service users are encouraged to contact their Key Worker in the first instance. CAFS provides acute assessment during the hours of 8.30am to 3.30pm Monday - Friday.

Referrals are accepted by self-referral, family/whānau member, friend, GP, Police or community agencies.
