This service is for those aged 13 - 33 years, presenting with the first episode of psychosis.
For those aged 13 - 18 years, this service is provided in the Greater Hamilton area (Meremere to Te Aroha, Matamata and Cambridge through to Ohaupo, out to Raglan and back through Ngāruawāhia and Huntly.)
For those 18 years and over, this service is provided to areas within a half-hour drive from Hamilton Central.
Description
We are a kaupapa Māori Early Intervention First Episode Psychosis Service. We provide support to people experiencing a first episode of psychosis, aged 13-33 years old.
We offer:
- A responsive and engaging service for those who might be experiencing a first episode of psychosis
- A flexible approach; we can meet you in your own home or elsewhere, as appropriate
- Assertive follow-up and support to you and your whānau/family
- Advocacy - working together with you, your whānau/family and with appropriate agencies to support your wellbeing.
