Fees and Charges Description
General
LINC Support Services is funded by Te Whatu Ora and Hauora a Toi Bay of Plenty to assist people who are experiencing mental health and addiction issues in our region. To receive community support from LINC a person generally is referred from the local Community Mental Health (CMH) team, or psychiatric inpatient unit.
Primary/Direct
Access to support has now been broadened to those NOT referred via CMH. This uses the 'Navigate" pathway. LINC is a member of this collective of NGO's who can now provide support via direct applications from individuals, whānau, or other agencies for those experiencing distress but not meeting the threshold of specialist services (CMH). Referral Process
If you feel that you or someone you love needs our help, there are two main pathways through which LINC’s services can be accessed
Local Community Mental Health (CMH)
To receive traditional funded assistance from LINC a person is referred from the Hauora a Toi Bay of Plenty Community Mental Health team, or psychiatric inpatient unit. If you need to start this process, a GP visit is a common first step.
Primary/Direct: Individual, GP, Community Service
LINC is part of a collective called "Navigate" whereby individuals and organisations can now refer directly to receive short term support through times of "mild to moderate" distress. This can serve those who usually wouldn't warrant acceptance into formal Community Mental Health Case management and can be a helpful resource to catch things before they escalate further. Refer to Hauora a Toi website for info and referral form: Navigate Portal
