Description

Manu Ka Rere is a free service for young people aged 13-24 who are seeking support for their wellbeing - mental health and addictions. It offers face-to-face counselling, group work, education, family work and other activities.
 
Manu Ka Rere is made up of these agencies: Odyssey House (Christchurch), Stepping Stone Trust 

St John of God Waipuna, PuraPura WhetuCommunity Wellbeing North Canterbury Trust,  Christchurch City Mission, Ashurburton Community Alcohol and Drug service (ACADS), Te Tahi Youth

The service works in with Health NZ speciality CAF and Adult Services and other Canterbury NGOs.

We have a range of staff including Social Workers, Nurses, Counsellors, Support Workers, Art Therapists, Occupational Therapists

This is a Te Whatu Ora - Health NZ funded service.

No fees apply.

Hours

Mon – Fri 8:30 AM – 5:00 PM

Assistance outside these hours is by appointment only.

Public Holidays: Closed Labour Day (28 Oct), Waitangi Day (6 Feb), Good Friday (18 Apr), Easter Sunday (20 Apr), Easter Monday (21 Apr), ANZAC Day (25 Apr), King's Birthday (2 Jun), Matariki (20 Jun).

YAMHA Community Youth Facilitator

The Community Youth Facilitators work alongside young people aged 13 to 18 and their families that are struggling with mild to moderate mental health issues and/or alcohol or addiction issues. Their services include but are not limited to: Working collaboratively to increase community access for Young People Providing screening, assessment, and interventions Facilitating access to other services as required Motivating Young People to access the appropriate services that will benefit their wellbeing Read about this service here.
