Referral Process
Referrals to the Older Persons Mental Health team need to be completed by your GP.
Individuals eligible for referral are older adults with significant mental health problems and adults any age with an established diagnosis of dementia (Alzheimer's, vascular, mixed or idiopathic front temporal dementia type) complicated by significant behavioural or psychological symptoms.

Referral to aged residential care or support service after assessment, may be required. The Older Persons Mental Health Admissions Unit is located at Alexandra Hospital.
