The Triage service is based in Hamilton and provides a single point of entry for non-urgent referrals to adult mental health service between 8am to 4.30pm, 7 days a week. The service undertakes initial screening and assessment (telephone or face-to-face) of referrals to ascertain whether a comprehensive assessment is indicated within the community mental health service; or alternatively, to provide appropriate advice &/or facilitate an assisted referral to another service provider, such as a community based Non-Government Organisations (NGO’s).

Referral Process
Non-urgent referrals can be received from any source (i.e. G.P, self, family) and by any method (i.e. fax, BPAC, letter, telephone), including self-presentations to community mental health services, based at 193 London Street.
As Triage is a non-urgent service, any urgent referrals must go directly to the Crisis team on 0800505050
