The Vibe Support services team offer a range of support and assistance including social work, youth work services and positive youth development programmes for young people aged 10-24.

The Support Service team provides individual and customised support ranging from accommodation and legal assistance, to one-on-one help for circumstances unique to you.

One on One Support

Vibe Support Services offer one-on-one support working with young people of the Hutt Valley aged 10 - 24 years to achieve their goals and strengthen their connections to the community, work or school environments, their peers or their family. Social support - Vibe offers social work and youth work support and advocacy that is strength-based and client focussed. Our social workers and youth workers have a wide range of community networks and ensure that all young people are well supported. Youth Development - Vibe offers a range of youth development programmes to suit the diverse needs of young people. Programmes and workshops are available for different ages and focus on a range of wellbeing topics. NEET - Not in Education Employment or Training - Youth coaches work alongside 16-17 year olds to help them achieve success in education and employment. Working with a youth coach means regular catch ups to ensure young people realise their potential and stay on track to achieve their goals through support, advice, motivation and having fun. YP/YPP - Youth Payment/ Young Parent Payment - Youth coaches work alongside young people to access government financial assistance via the Youth Payment (16-17yr olds who are unable to live at home) and Young Parent Payment (16-18 yr old parents) and to engage them with education and employment. The Support team often works alongside the Health Service and Youth Service team, supporting you to reach your goals.

Primary Mental Health Care & Counselling Services.

As a part of Vibe’ Clinical services - Vibe provides primary mental health brief intervention sessions for 12yrs and over within the mild-moderate criteria. In this service we provide 6-8 sessions which are packages of care. This service includes a primary mental health nurse undertaking mental health assessments, brief intervention, case allocation; complex case management and liaison with Vibe staff and external referrers/providers. Vibe counsellors are also part of this service and provide a range of counselling therapies, including narrative, artistic, CBT and DBT. Along with a youth development framework, the HEADSS assessment model is utilised across the Vibe service to identify health and development needs and to plan appropriate interventions in partnership with young people. (HEADSSS: H – Home, E- Education, A – Activities, D – Drugs and Alcohol, S – Sexuality, S – Self-harming/ suicide, S – Safety)
