I am a Specialist Adult Psychiatrist in private practice in Auckland. I am a consultant psychiatrist at Waitemata District Health Board.

I am a medical graduate from India (2002), a member of the Royal College of Psychiatrists in UK (2006), and a fellow of the Royal Australian and New Zealand college of Psychiatrists (2009).

I have held a number of DHB consultant roles in the Auckland metro region over the last 10 years; community mental health centres, acute inpatient units and crisis services. I have also been in part time private practice for most of this period. My work in public and private sectors has made me deeply aware of the challenges in accessing and providing psychiatric care in our rapidly growing multicultural society.

I see adult patients with a range of psychiatric conditions – anxiety disorders, mood disorders (including Bipolar disorder), psychosis, PTSD & trauma related conditions, obsessive compulsive disorder and neurodevelopmental disorders (ADHD & Autistic Spectrum Disorders). I believe in achieving a shared understanding of your difficulties which informs your treatment. I welcome and encourage family involvement in your care.

I have extensive experience in medico-legal psychiatry. I provide psychiatric evaluation of personal injury and sensitive claims. I accept referrals from Accident Claims Corporation, insurers, immigration and other agencies. 

• Trauma related disorders, pain disorders and psychiatric manifestations of brain injury.
