Emergency contraceptive pill (ECP)
Your pharmacists are trained to assess whether the ECP is appropriate for you. This is done in a confidential manner. The ECP works best if taken as soon as possible after unprotected intercourse but may be taken up to 72 hours after. There is usually a charge associated with receiving the ECP, although at some pharmacies the ECP may be provided fully funded for eligible people.
All our pharmacists are trained to provide the emergency contraceptive, so that you may visit our pharmacy at any time, without an appointment, for an emergency contraceptive consultation. We have a separate consultation room to ensure your privacy.

Northcross Pharmacy is situated half-way between Albany and Browns Bay on the Northcross corner. We are located across the road from Shorecare Urgent Care Clinic Northcross. We are open the same hours as Shorecare at Northcross and can dispense prescriptions for all Shorecare patients. There is ample parking directly outside the pharmacy suitable for families with young children, the elderly and disabled.
