Description

Pharmacists can help to support the health of your family; they can provide advice and treatment for common minor illnesses for all ages.

Pharmacists ensure that prescriptions are dispensed correctly and that the medicine and dose is appropriate for you, so that you receive the maximum benefits from your medicines. Your pharmacist will help you understand what your medicines are prescribed for, how to take them, possible side effects and how to store them.

All advice and treatment is conducted in a professional and confidential manner and most services are provided free of charge and do not generally require an appointment.

For safe disposal, please return any expired or unwanted medicines, or needles/lancets and syringes to your pharmacy. There is no charge for this service.

Please don't hesitate to contact us directly if you have any questions.

Fees and Charges Description

The prescription charge that is incurred on some medications is set by the Government. Medicine charges can change, sometimes each month, depending on the subsidy price negotiated by PHARMAC and the company that supplies the medication. If the prescribed medicine is not fully subsidised a part charge may apply.

If you have any queries regarding these charges or the funding of prescription medicines, please phone the PHARMAC Information Line 0800 66 00 50 (9am-5pm weekdays). Please ask us about additional or unexpected costs, as we can let you know if there is an alternative medicine, which is fully subsidised. If you do not understand how we calculated the final cost, please ask our dispensary staff.

After paying the prescription charges for 20 subsidised items, at any pharmacy, from 1 February to 31 January the following year, you will qualify for a Prescription Subsidy Card. Items that incur no charge such as 'free' under 13 and non-subsidised items do not contribute towards the 20 item count. Please ask dispensary staff for more information regarding qualifying for a Prescription Subsidy Card as this can include qualifying family members.

We accept Cash/Eftpos and Credit Card payments for Visa/Mastercard/Amex.

We also offer Fly Buys and Living Rewards Loyalty.
