ENT Group is a group of specialised otolaryngologists consulting from their main clinic at Kakariki Hospital in Greenlane, Auckland. They also offer consultations at Teresa Burns Hearing (Albany), Mercy Radiology (Botany), Lake Side Specialist Centre (Takapuna), Botany Medical Specialist Centre (Botany) and Ormiston Hospital (Flat Bush).
Our experienced surgeons, Dr Melanie Collins, Mr Salil Nair, Mr Angus Shao and Mr Wai Keat (Justin) Wong treat a variety of ear, nasal & sinus, and general ENT related issues including chronic sinusitis, ear infections, hearing loss, snoring, and sleep apnoea in adults and children. Surgery for private patients is performed at Kakariki Hospital, Ascot Hospital, Gillies Hospital and Ormiston Hospital.

What is ENT Surgery/Otolaryngology?
Ear, Nose and Throat Surgery (ENT) is also known as Otolaryngology, Head and Neck Surgery. This area of medicine is concerned with disorders of the ear, nose, throat, the head and the neck.
ENT Surgeons (or otolaryngologists) are specialist doctors who deal with medical and surgical treatment of conditions of the ears, nose, throat and structures of the head and neck. Within ENT, surgeons specialise further as Otologists (ear), Rhinologists (nasal/sinus) and Head & Neck cancer surgeons.

Referral Expectations
Your GP will send your referral electronically. Another specialist may refer you to one of our specialists. You can ring the clinic directly to make an appointment. Your health insurer may expect you to have a GP referral letter to cover your claim. Please bring your GP referral letter, any hearing test results, any CT or MRI scan reports and a list of your current medications to the appointment with you.

Dr Collins, Mr Nair and Mr Shao are Southern Cross Affiliated providers for a range of Otolaryngology (Ear, nose & throat) services and procedures. These include:
