Description

Tony Danesh-Clough was born and raised in New Zealand. He completed his medical degree at the University of Otago in 1994 and was then selected for the New Zealand Orthopaedic training scheme.

Following this he undertook a sports medicine fellowship at the Adidas Clinic treating a large number of high performance athletes. Subsequently he travelled to Canada to work at a leading joint replacement hospital. Here he researched and developed new implants and techniques.

He then undertook a further fellowship in the United States in Baltimore, Maryland, with one of the world’s foremost foot and ankle surgeons, where he worked at the cutting edge in the treatment of complex foot and ankle disorders.

Tony Danesh-Clough is current President of the New Zealand Foot and Ankle Society and a Fellow of the Royal Australasian College of Surgeons. He is also a board member of the International Foot and Ankle Society and a member of the American Orthopaedic Foot and Ankle Society. He has a public post as a Consultant Orthopaedic Foot and Ankle Surgeon at North Shore Hospital in Auckland.
