Dr Cínthia Riguetto is an endocrinologist and diabetes specialist with expertise in the management of diabetes and endocrine disorders.

Motivated by her interests in thyroid diseases, especially Graves’ disease and thyroid cancer, she finished her master’s degree in this field in 2018 and is about to complete her PhD in Graves’ ophthalmopathy.

After finishing her advanced training in Endocrinology (2016), Dr Cínthia worked as a consultant for four years providing high-quality care for patients with diabetes, mainly focusing on insulin pumps and continuous glucose sensors. 

In June 2020, Dr Cínthia and her husband decided to move to New Zealand, looking for a better work-life balance for their new family. Since then, she has worked as a consultant endocrinologist at the Waikato Regional Diabetes Service in Hamilton, one of the busiest diabetes centres in Aotearoa New Zealand. She also became a Fellow of the Royal Australasian College of Physicians (FRACP).

Dr Cínthia has recently moved to Tauranga and is now part of the Virtuoso Clinic.
