Profile

Dr David Cranefield graduated from the University of Auckland Medical School in 1995 and completed his radiology training in Auckland before undertaking subspecialty training in MRI at North Shore Hospital. Following this he was  appointed as a Consultant Radiologist at North Shore and Waitakere Hospitals, a role which has included appointments as Team leader for CT and Director of Registrar Training followed by several years as the Clinical Director for Radiology and membership of the National Radiology network. David now splits his professional time between North Shore and Waitakere Hospitals and ARG. 
 
David has subspecialty interests in PET-CT and oncologic imaging with a focus on haematological, lung, colorectal and prostate cancer imaging. As well as general radiology, David also has particular interest in imaging of the bowel on CT and MRI and extensive experience in Cardiac CT.
