Dr Schubert earned his degree from the Ludwig-Maximilians University, Munich in Germany in 2009 and undertook his specialist dermatology training at large tertiary training facilities in Germany.

Falko also trained in subspecialty clinics in allergology, which involved running busy patch test clinics and clinics treating patients suffering from work related dermatoses. He also trained under some of the leading dermatosurgeons in Germany.

In 2014 Dr Schubert was awarded the prestigious Diploma in Aesthetic Laser Medicine by the Ernst Moritz Arndt University of Greifswald, Germany. After completing his dermatology training in 2015, he completed subspecialty training in allergology and continued working as a consultant dermatologist at a large dermatology centre in southern Germany. He also was involved in teaching the dermatology registrar there.

Falko came back to New Zealand in 2016 and is currently appointed as a consultant dermatologist at Waitematā District Health Board in Auckland.
