Profile

Reina is a consultant gastroenterologist and hepatologist in Dunedin.

She trained in the United Kingdom, graduating in 2003 before going on to complete her advanced fellowship training in transplant and general hepatology. Reina has also gained a PhD in metabolic and viral liver disease while undertaking research at renowned Queen Elizabeth II Hospital Birmingham in the UK.

In 2016, she joined Asia’s leading medical centre, Singapore General Hospital. She worked in collaboration with clinicians and scientists to improve policy and patient treatment.

In 2021, Reina moved to New Zealand with her family to work at Dunedin Hospital.

Interests

All aspects of gastroenterology but has a special interest in liver diseases.
