Dr Sharyn MacDonald is a cardiothoracic radiologist who completed her radiology training in Christchurch, Auckland, London and Vancouver. She combines her role as a radiologist at Pacific Radiology with being Chief of Radiology for the Canterbury District Health Board. She is currently chair of the Intersociety and Global Outreach Committee of the Society of Thoracic Radiology, co-chair of the Australian and New Zealand Society of Thoracic Radiology and a member of the National Radiology Advisory Group.

 

Along with her subspecialty interest in cardiothoracic imaging, Sharyn has interests in adapting production planning processes to help radiology services to succeed with achieving excellence in service delivery, and in the design and implementation of electronic solutions to enhance service delivery that are intuitive, integrated and optimised to support efficient and safe work.
