Profile

I am a graduate of the University of Cape Town Medical School (1986). The following year I emigrated to New Zealand where I trained as and practiced as a GP for 11 years before specializing in orthopaedic surgery in Durban, South Africa. This I completed in 2008.

I subsequently furthered my training with a Fellowship in Hip and Knee Surgery including arthroplasty in Norwich, UK before I returned to New Zealand and completed a Fellowship in Advanced Shoulder and Elbow Surgery at North Shore Hospital in Auckland.

I then settled in Rotorua where I set up a shoulder surgery and arthroplasty service at Lakes DHB. I am now in fulltime private practice dealing with a broad range of trauma, shoulder, elbow, hip and knee conditions. I am able to offer arthroplasty of the hip, knee shoulder and elbow and I am committed to providing an excellent orthopaedic service to the population of Rotorua, Taupō and surrounding districts.
