A comprehensive 8 week programme is available to patients who have recently had a myocardial infarction, angioplasty, cardiac surgery or who are limited by angina or heart failure. The programme consists of education and/or exercise, together with relaxation. Two programmes are available: Exercise for Fitness and Exercise for your Health. A comprehensive assessment is undertaken prior to and upon discharge of the exercise programme, and advice provided regarding on-going exercise for the future.
