Greenlane Clinical Centre (GLCC) Outpatient Service
Assessment and treatment of:
- Urinary incontinence, faecal incontinence, obstructive defaecation, pelvic organ prolapse, birth related perineal trauma, pelvic and sexual pain
- Maternity related musculoskeletal problems
- Male urology, colorectal and pain dysfunctions
Auckland City Hospital (ACH) Inpatient Service
Assessment and treatment of:
- antenatal and postnatal musculoskeletal and respiratory conditions
- birth related perineal trauma
- gynaecology inpatient services
Ages
Adult / Pakeke, Older adult / Kaumātua
How do I access this service?
Referral
A referral must be sent from your healthcare provider to access the service.
Referral Expectations
Referrals are accepted from:
- DHB staff
- Independent midwives
- Obstetricians
- GP
Non-attendance
Due to increasing pressure of referrals, patients who do not attend their appointment without giving prior notice may be discharged from the service and will require a further referral to resume treatment.

Physiotherapists diagnose and support people to regain mobility and reduce pain caused by an injury, disability or health condition such as arthritis.

Treatment is available for all types of urinary incontinence. The initial appointment is an education session followed by individual follow up appointments. This will involve assessment of the pelvic floor muscles, education, lifestyle advice and possibly the use of biofeedback tools.
