While you wait:
If you have chest pain, please let staff know immediately.
If your condition is deteriorating while you are waiting, please let the staff know immediately.
After your assessment, you may be asked to wait in the waiting area or in a treatment room. While you wait, hospital staff will try to make sure you are as comfortable as possible.
If you need to leave the waiting area, make sure you let staff know, and ask them before you eat or drink anything, as it may affect your treatment.
You are entitled to have one support person with you. Waiting can be frustrating, but for everyone's comfort and safety, please treat others with respect.
