Description

The Child Development Service team covers the East Coast district. Therapists provide free assessment and ongoing support for children who have identified developmental conditions, are at risk of development disabilities, or are suspected of having a disability from 0-16 years.

We support whānau in the most comfortable place for your child and with the people that know them best.

The Child Development Service also co-ordinates support for children with a diagnosis of Autism Spectrum Disorder.

We also work in schools to ensure continuity of treatment.

Our team will:

  • Assess your child for developmental abilities, talk to you about the strengths and challenges and make a plan for the next steps in their development.
  • We will help to connect you with other services, and provide reports.
  • Help you with ideas to help with your daily life.
