Children's Outreach Nursing Service
The Outreach Nurse Specialists provide care and support for unwell children and families/whānau in the community, enabling children to stay at home instead of in hospital.
The service consists of a team of experienced children's nurses who are available 5 days a week, 8.30am - 4.30pm.
Rotorua – (07) 348 1199 Ext 8952 or 8917

How the Outreach Service Works
- An Outreach Nurse will visit you and your child following a referral from a Paediatrician
- Parents/Whānau are the best people to care, help or teach their child and the nurses will be there to support them to do this

- The nurses work with families and welcome and encourage your observations and questions
