Our teams provide support for adults experiencing mental health issues, including expectant mothers.
Southern DHB Adult Community Mental Health Services are provided by the following teams:
- Central Lakes Community Mental Health Team operates out of 19 Douglas Street, Frankton and Hospital Street, Clyde
- Dunedin North Community Mental Health Team operates out of Dunedin Hospital
- Dunedin South Community Mental Health Team operates out of Wakari Hospital
- Invercargill Community Mental Health Team operates out of Southland Hospital
- Southern Rivers Community Mental Health Team operates out of 24 Clyde Street, Balclutha and 16 Irwell Street, Gore

Fees and Charges Description
There are no fees for services to public patients if you are lawfully in New Zealand and meet one of the eligibility criteria set by the Ministry of Health. If you do not meet the criteria, you will be required to pay for the full cost of any medical treatment you recieve during your stay.

The Community Mental Health Teams are made up of health professionals who provide a range of specialist mental health services for people aged 18 years and over who have been diagnosed with a significant mental illness. We will also see people aged 16 or 17 if they have left school. Appointments will be at the Community Mental Health office nearest you and/or when appropriate, in your home or workplace. We also see people at Medical Centres if appropriate.
