Profile
Dr Douglas Scott did his basic medical training at the University of Otago and trained in cardiology at Greenlane Hospital. He completed his fellowship in Interventional Cardiology in Washington DC and has been principal investigator for nearly 20 major, worldwide clinical trials.
Working as part of Ascot’s multi-disciplinary team, Dr Scott is able to offer his patients the diagnostic tests that are best-suited to their requirements. Interventions can be executed when the need arises, making Ascot a ‘one-stop-shop’ for cardiac diagnosis and treatment. Dr Scott also works at Middlemore Hospital as a consultant cardiologist and is involved with teaching advanced trainees in cardiology, fellows in interventional cardiology and medical students.
