Dr Leo Sheck is a highly trained and experienced ophthalmologist, particularly in the field of medical retina diseases. After finishing his ophthalmology training in New Zealand, he travelled to the United Kingdom completing a two year Medical Retina fellowship in Moorfields Eye Hospital and an MBA from University of Cambridge at the same time.

Medical Retina

• individualized injection therapy for AMD, diabetic retinopathy, retinal vein occlusion and other maculopathies
• multimodal imaging for complex retinal diseases

Inherited retinal dystrophy

• diagnosis and genetic testing using next generation sequencing in inherited retinal dystrophy

Electrodiagnostics

• interpretation of electrodiagnostic studies for complex retinal diseases and inherited retinal dystrophy

Cataract surgery

• highly experienced surgeon in cataract surgery, with regular high volume cataract surgery list in Auckland District Health Board to shorten waiting lists.

• Master thesis on the clinical application of artificial intelligence in University of Cambridge
