Description

At Mid-South Island Women's Refuge & Family Safety Services, we provide the support and information you need when you’re dealing with violence in your life. Our vision is for all adults and children to live free from domestic and family violence.

We are based in Timaru but provide support across mid-Canterbury, North Otago, Waitaki and the Mackenzie Basin.

Our free confidential services include:

  • 24/7 Crisis Line - 0800 00 77 50
  • Safe, temporary emergency accommodation
  • Advocacy and support
  • Relocation support to other areas
  • Education Programmes for protected and non-protected adults and children
  • Public awareness
  • Domestic violence training to government and non-government organisations

We also operate the STAR Centre for those who have been affected by sexual abuse.

Our office hours are Monday - Friday 8.00am - 5pm.
