Description

Te Whare O Ngā Tūmanako Māori Women's Refuge is a not-for-profit organisation providing support for wāhine, their tamariki, rangatahi and whānau to live free from any form of violence and abuse. 

We support a pathway to safety, regardless of ethnicity, gender identity or socio-economic circumstances.

Our services include:

  • Confidential, non judgmental support
  • 24 hour crisis line
  • If needed, refuge and access to a safe space
  • Home and community visits
  • Whānau Protect (home security upgrades and alarms)
  • Advocacy when dealing with other services
  • Referrals to appropriate support services
