Demographic: Survivors, aged 16 or over who have experienced sexual abuse or sexual violence, and their supporters, friends and whānau. We also support family and caregivers of survivors under the age of 16 to indirectly support younger people.

Description:
Ōtepoti Communities Against Sexual Abuse (ŌCASA) provides support to survivors who have experienced sexual violence, whether it has occurred recently or in the past. We also provide services to all supporting friends or whānau of those who have experienced sexual violence. Our services include:
- Telephone support and crisis line
- Face-to-face counselling for survivors of sexual violence, their friends and whānau
- Crisis social work services for survivors of sexual violence, their friends and whānau
- Information, advocacy and support for those who choose to report to the police, are going to court, seeking medical advice, or whatever the survivor chooses is the best path at the time
- Brief and longer term intervention
- Sexual violence prevention programmes for students and youth
- Education for community groups
- Advice for professionals and organisations to prevent and respond to sexual violence
All our services are FREE.

During office hours our team is available to provide crisis support, advocacy, and take bookings for scheduled appointments. We also provide crisis support outside of regular office hours via the police and the hospital. There is a library onsite if people wish to take books out please call to schedule a time to come in and browse.
