Sexual Harm Service
Counselling and social work to support children, youth, adults and family/whānau who have been affected by sexual abuse. Counselling services for those who have engaged in harmful sexual behaviour.
Age: All ages and genders
Region: Christchurch, Nelson, Hurunui, West Coast, Glen Eden (Auckland)
We are a group of 20 psychologists, therapists, counsellors and social workers aiming to support children, youth, adults and family/whānau of all genders, address the emotional harm inflicted by sexual abuse.
Services are confidential and FREE if eligible for ACC cover.
We can also provide support for those who have caused sexual harm to others or have harmful sexual thoughts.
Other psychological services we provide include:
- Individual and couple counselling
- Group facilitation
- Conflict resolution
- Critical stress management
- Professional supervision
- Custody and care evaluations
- Counselling for those affected by family violence addressing the emotional impact of trauma
- Counselling for parents
- Referral to other specialist services where appropriate

Services provided via ACC or employee assistance programmes are fully funded. Other service fees are negotiable with the individual provider concerned.
