Description

Kindred Family Services provide the tools and resources that build resilience and offer hope so that a person can make positive change for themselves, their whānau and in turn their community.

Moemoeā - Our Vision: Flourishing communities, free from trauma and harm that are home to resilient, thriving citizens.

Te Kaupapa - Our Mission: We provide quality interventions to support, empower and advocate for people so they are able to reach their full potential. We provide the following professional services:

  • Counselling - Subsidised sessions for adults, young people and children with trained professionals.
  • Drop-In - Our door is open, so if you have a question or want some help, feel free to pop in.
  • Strengthening Families - A family-led service, bringing together supports and agencies.
  • Support Groups - Building connection and skills in a safe, nurturing environment. Groups held for men and women.
  • Family Harm - We partner with you to create practical pathways towards safety and a life free from violence.
  • Family Support - Building on personal strengths, practical strategies and connecting with community resources.
  • Women's Refuge - Our Kia Tīmata Anō Safe House is a confidential refuge for women and children.

We serve a large and diverse area from Taupaki in the south to Glorit in the north and all the communities and townships in between including Kaukapakapa, South Head, Helensville, Waimauku, Muriwai, Riverhead, Kumeū and Huapai.

We hold hope for others until they can hold it for themselves so that our community flourishes.
