Transgender Peer Support Service (Auckland)

Service types: LGBTQIA+ support.

Our Transgender Peer Support Service supports transgender, non-binary and gender-diverse Aucklanders and their whānau to access gender-affirming healthcare, providing information and resources, and creating connection and community with other gender-diverse people.

This service is free for people aged 28 years and older who live in the wider Auckland region (former Auckland, Waitematā and Counties Manukau District Health Board areas).

We work closely with RainbowYOUTH who support trans people aged 27 and younger in Auckland, and people of all ages in Northland. Check out their website for more information if you meet those criteria.

The people we work with are trans or questioning their gender. We’re using trans as an umbrella term that includes people who identify with terms like transgender, gender non conforming, non-binary, genderqueer, transsexual, agender, tāhine, whakawāhine, tangata ira tāne, Fa’afatama, Fa’afafine, Fakaleiti or Leiti, Fakafifine, Akava’ine and Vakasalewalewa.

If you’d like to access this service, please fill in our referral form to tell us a bit about yourself and what kinds of support you’re looking for.
