Description
TRW believe that women and children have the right to live their lives free from violence (physical, emotional, mental, sexual, financial and spiritual).
Our confidential services include:
- Confidential, non judgmental support
- 24 hour crisis line
- Home and community visits
- Support in isolated rural areas
- 24/7 access to our safe houses (criteria apply, costs attached to this service)
- Advocacy when dealing with police, legal, court, WINZ, housing, doctors, immigration, schools and Oranga Tamariki
- Referrals to counsellors, doctors, lawyers and other support services
- Education for children about living free from violence
- Information and presentations to community groups, schools and workplace as part of our Workplace Refuge training
Whānau Protect - The National Home Safety Service. Whānau Protect is available to victims of family violence who are at high risk repeat of family violence (criteria applies)
Te Korowai Haumaru - 10 week FV Education programme for Tamariki (criteria applies)
Kōkihi ngā Rito - Family Violence Child Specialist advocacy service
