Description

Welcome to Skin Cancer Doctors. We are a well established primary care skin cancer clinic located in central Whangārei with a satelite clinic in Kerikeri. Our focus is on the early diagnosis and effective treatment of skin cancer in a friendly and welcoming environment.

Our skin cancer doctors are highly skilled vocationally registered general practitioners who have completed further training and hold qualifications in skin cancer diagnosis and treatment.

On staff we also have two nurses, a health care assistant and two administrators/receptionists.

Full body skin checks/mole checks

We provide thorough full-body skin cancer examinations and mole checks and look closely at any suspicious moles/skin changes. With the aid of dermoscopy and digital dermoscopic imaging, we are able to recognise early melanomas, other skin cancers and areas of sun damage.

Minor Surgery

Minor surgery is commonly provided in primary care practices, providing fast, competent removal and biopsies of skin lesions. Other services include cosmetic work such as removal of benign moles and skin tags. Ingrown toenail surgery is also commonly provided. These conditions do not need to be referred to a hospital, perhaps saving you a long wait or a cancelled appointment when a more serious case takes priority.
