Steve has had extensive experience as a private dental practitioner both in NZ and overseas. His postgraduate qualification in restorative dentistry includes crowns, bridges and implants. Providing individualised, long-term preventive treatment for his patients of all ages is his specialty.
He is married with four adult children and enjoys spending time with them and their growing families. Sometimes this involves travel overseas. Recreation also includes many outdoor pursuits, especially kayaking and DIY projects, a recent challenge was designing and building an outdoor pizza oven.
Over the years Steve has held various positions of responsibility in the local Dental Association and Dunedin East Rotary Club. He has a genial personality, a genuine interest in people, and good sense of humour and enjoys practising dentistry.
