Education and training

Youthtown delivers programmes tjat build skills and knowlege to as many 5-18 year olds as we can. Our activity sessions, workshops, camps, project groups and events are specifically designed to engage and develop each school age group both during school and outside of school. They are consistently delivered across New Zealand in ‘The Youthtown Way’, which is our youth development philosophy. Through Youthtown, young people have access to the widest range of choices of things to do. These physical/outdoor, social/lifeskill and creative activities mean there's something for everyone. Our programmes are run both during school hours and after school hours including holidays, conveniently based at local schools, community club rooms and corporate premises across NZ. Each of our programmes, as well as any third party partners, have been assessed to ensure the highest quality of delivery, and all of our staff are trained to ensure best practice in the way we work with young people. We aim to operate in a safe and consistent way across all of our sites in New Zealand. We believe that the resilience and self-efficacy young people build with Youthtown will enable them to be the best they can be. This means that they will believe in their own abilities, to not only deal with various situations and make good decisions, but to put plans into action to achieve their own goals. In other words, ‘Dream it, (then learn to) Do it, with Youthtown’.
