Mangere East Family Services Early Childhood Education Centre has been supporting the Mangere Community for over 30 years. Our primary focus is on the well-being of our tamariki within a warm, nurturing, whanau-centred environment. In line with our commitment to and acknowledgement of Te Tiriti o Waitangi, our philosophy is underpinned by the following pou: Ako, Whanaungatanga, Manaakitanga, Turangawaewae, Tino Rangatiratanga, Aroha, Mana & Tapu. We offer 30 FREE hours ECE subsidy Monday – Friday (8 am – 4 pm) for children aged 4 months to 5 years old.

Families and communities can only be healthy and thriving when the air, water, soil and life around us is also healthy and thriving. The Taiao Team at ME Family Services works to regenerate our local ecosystems and to nurture positive, reciprocal relationships between people and place in Māngere/Ōtāhuhu. Attendance Navigators support whanau in Māngere to re-engage tamariki and rangatahi back into education. We work closely with families, schools and community services to understand barriers to attendance. Our focus is on building strong pathways that support regular attendance and positive long-term outcomes.
