Profile

I am originally from the UK and graduated from Liverpool Medical School in 1999. I completed my GP training in the Lake District of England and then moved to another beautiful place to join Aspiring Medical Centre as a partner in 2005.

I thrive on the variety that is general practice, although I do have a few areas of special interest:

  • Women’s health and sexual health. I have a Diploma in Family Planning as well as Obs and Gynaecology, and work as a doctor in the sexual health clinic. I can insert IUDs and implants.
  • Travel medicine. Travel is a passion of mine and I have a Diploma in Travel Medicine. At AMC we offer pre and post travel consults and I am a Yellow Fever Accredited Provider
  • Aviation medicine. Since 2011, I have been a Medical Examiner for the CAA NZ.
  • Child health
  • Dermatology

I am an accredited teacher with the Royal NZ College of GPs and still enjoy learning in general.

My husband Pete and I love being in the mountains and biking, and we have a young daughter who is also beginning to enjoy all that Wanaka has to offer!
