A Green Prescription (GRx) is a health professional's written advice to become more physically active as part of their overall health management. Your health professional may decide a GRx would be good for you if:

• Or you have a medical condition which would improve with a change in lifestyle

Green Prescription at Sport Whanganui also includes Club Gold and Active Families.

Club Gold

Club Gold is a friendly seniors walking group who meet every Tuesday and Thursday morning at 9.00am at Sport Whanganui, Springvale Park. This group walks various routes for approximately one hour and returns to the Sport Whanganui.

Active Families

The Active Families programme introduces the family/whānau to appropriate affordable and sustainable physical activity & nutritional options and gives them the opportunity to interact with other children and families in similar circumstances.
